The British Marines have landed! Securing quarters at the Hogshead, the Marines are enjoying some well-earned shore leave and are taking a break from their duties on the Chesapeake Bay. However, it looks like trouble is brewing across the colonies…
Throughout the day, come chat with the Marines to learn about their unique branch of service as sea soldiers of the King, their uniforms, and weapons they carry.
A special talk, “Conversations with the Captain,” will be presented at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. The Captain of the Marine detachment will discuss the current situation in the colonies in November 1773 and the role played by the Royal Navy.
Families and those Loyal to the King are welcome. But be careful – they may try to recruit you to serve!
