250 Voices Project
"What does the pursuit of happiness mean to me?"
Inspired by the words of the Declaration of Independence, this project invites residents of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County to add their voices to the story of our nation’s founding ideals. Each reflection—whether a sentence, a poem, an essay, a piece of artwork, or even a recorded video—will be gathered to showcase the diversity of experiences, perspectives, and hopes that define our community today.
By amplifying diverse voices, the program ensures that the America250 celebration reflects the full breadth of local history, culture, and lived experience.
Participants can contribute original work, propose ideas, or take part in community-driven projects that explore themes of freedom, democracy, and civic identity—past, present, and future. Whether you’re a seasoned creator or simply have a story to tell, “Your Voice” offers an accessible way to get involved and be heard.
